About Me

Female plumber based in Falmouth, Cornwall.

Hi I'm Catherine the plumber 👩‍🔧

I was working in London with tech startups for ten years when I realised how hard it was to find an affordable plumber who was willing to fix my leaking sink. So I ended up doing it myself!

I went back to college for a year gaining my City & Guilds level 2 in plumbing and decided to leave my career in startups and join Thames Water.

From there I supported air source heat pump installations for Octopus Energy and did my own private jobs in my spare time.

I moved back to Falmouth last summer to have my baby and am now running my plumbing business here ☀️ 😎

FAQs

Do you charge a call-out fee?

Not usually, if you can send me photos/videos of the issue, I can usually diagnose it that way and buy the spare parts. Saves me time and saves you some money.

How much do you charge per hour?

I'll send you an approximate cost for labour and parts. Please bear in mind this will be an estimate as some jobs are more complex than anticipated. I charge £40 per additional hour.

Can you attend gas or boiler jobs?

I'll complete my gas training by end of 2027, watch this space. For the time being, I'll refer you to a gas engineer I know.

Which areas do you cover?

I'm based in Mawnan Smith, so I'm happy to drive to Falmouth, Penryn, Mabe, Constantine, Devoran and surrounding areas. If it's further out, I'll do my best to get to you but it may incur a higher charge.

Can you offer work experience?

Possibly, yes. I'm keen to get more girls and women involved in plumbing since only 4% of plumbers are female at the moment.

How do I pay?

I'll send a payment link so you can use debit or credit card. Or cash if you prefer.

What's your favourite pasta shape?

Rigatoni, reminds me of pipes.
